Knight Bio

iPhone_Pictures_703This is my ninth year at Belton High School teaching percussion.  As the percussion specialist, I oversee all percussion for Belton High School, Belton Middle School, Lake Belton Middle School, and South Belton Middle School.  I am the director of the Belton Drumline, Winter Drumline, Percussion Chamber Ensemble’s, and assist with the Marching 100.

I am a very proud graduate of Belton High School class of ’02; having the privilege of being a member of the Marching 100 as well as now being a staff member.  After high school I attended Texas A&M University-Commerce (TAMU-C) where I received my bachelor’s degree in Music Education.  While attending TAMU-C I was a member of the “PRIDE” marching band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble, and a member/director of the steel band group “PANIMATION”.

I have also had the opportunity to be a member of the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corp and the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corp.  I am currently an active performer/clinician with groups in the Central Texas area and am a current member of Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), Texas Bandmaster Association (TBA), and Percussive Arts Society (PAS).

My wife Sarah teaches 6th grade ELA at Lake Belton Middle School.
